Rockclocks have been making unique Clocks and Timepieces from Irish Rock and Slate for over 30 years. Each clock is handmade from weathered Irish Slate and Stone. Many of these Slates and Rocks come from Architectural Salvage yards and so already have seen service as a Roof Slate, A Window Sill, an Entrance Plinth or Garden feature before being crafted into a Clock.
Not only are you getting an attractive, one-off Time piece to decorate your house, office or venue, you are also getting some real Irish history. Every mark, scar and blemish on the clock tells its story both as its previous life, perhaps as a Roof slate or Entrance pillar but also its history forming over the Millenia on this Island.
On some of the Slate clocks, you might even be fortunate to have an old Nail Hole present, connecting the clock to its time as a Roof Slate and weather protection on an old house or cottage.
We also take on commissions, where a customer or client wants a clock or clocks crafted from a specific material, a local stone or slate or indeed a piece of stone or slate from a historic family dwelling etc.
Our clocks have been sold and stocked in many stores, craft outlets and craft fairs over the years.
Our clocks have also been exported and fitted in Irish Pubs around the globe from the Far East, throughout Europe and in North America and Canada through our work with a number of companies involved in designing and fitting out Irish Pubs across the world.
